If Nothing Changes, Nothing Changes.
Your change will bring the change.
Today, I finally understood why people say, “If you don’t change, nothing will change.”
Sometimes we pray for a breakthrough while ignoring the small things that are quietly holding us back. We hope one big opportunity will suddenly fix everything, but the truth is, where you are right now may already be revealing the areas of your life that need attention.
Maybe you struggle to stay focused. Maybe making decisions feels exhausting, even down to simple things like what to eat. Maybe your money disappears faster than you planned. Maybe you start goals with excitement but lose consistency halfway through. These things may seem small now, but if they remain unchanged, they grow into bigger problems later.
The Weight of an Unprepared Breakthrough
Think about it. If you struggle to make decisions for yourself, how will you make decisions for a family, a business, or people depending on you? Sometimes the breakthrough we are asking for could actually crush the version of us that is not prepared to carry it. In hindsight, some delays may not be punishment. They may be protection.
This reminds me of the story of Joseph in the Bible. Joseph had dreams of greatness very early in life, but there was a long process before the palace. There was betrayal, slavery, false accusations, and prison. At the time, it probably looked like life was moving backward. But every season was building something in him: wisdom, patience, leadership, and emotional strength. Imagine if Joseph had become second-in-command of Egypt before the process. The weight of the position might have destroyed him.
Sometimes we only pray for the palace, but forget the process prepares us for the responsibility.
Roots Before Fruit
A wise man once compared man to a tree, not a vegetable. A tree survives because of its roots. Yet many of us want to be fruitful without becoming rooted. We want visible success without the hidden growth.
But roots grow in darkness. Roots fight through pressure, resistance, rocks, and worms just to become strong enough to hold the weight of the tree. Before fruit appears publicly, growth happens privately.
Even bamboo spends years growing underground before it becomes visible above the surface. To some people, it looks like nothing is happening. But underneath, a foundation is being built strong enough to support future growth.
Maybe your life feels slow right now because your roots are still growing.
Change Starts in the Hidden Places
Maybe this season is not about producing more. Maybe it is about becoming stronger underneath.
So instead of asking only, “When will my life change?” maybe ask, “What in me needs to change?”
Because growth begins where honesty begins. Small disciplines matter. The way you think matters. The habits you ignore matter. The private decisions no one sees eventually shape the public life everyone sees.
The good news is this: change does not have to happen all at once. One better decision a day can completely redirect your future.
Stay blessed, not stressed.

Would you say non chalant people and lay back people are repressing or self sabotaging their future?
